“Rhythm, Fission, and Folds”

“Rhythm, Fission, and Folds” brings together paintings and sculptural works that explore transformation through time: how the ruffles of cloth record a shifting state of mind, the psychological tension between notes of a song, and how discarded materials, stripped of their original function, take on new identities with their own subjectivity. The title hints at urgency, tension, and harmony within the works—both thematically and visually.

Showcasing both local and international artists, the presentation includes works by Damilola Ajegbomogun, J.C. Hopkins, Rina Kim, Precious Eboigbodin, and Rebecca Stern. The exhibition will be on view from September 5 through November 5, with an opening reception on Friday, September 5, at 6:00 PM.
